4th Annual FXBG Peeps Show
Show Dates:
The 2026 Peeps Show will run from July 3rd through August 9th, 2026 with the opening reception being held on July 3rd. All entries must be submitted before July 1st, 2026 to be displayed for judging in the Visitor Center gallery.

Step back in time as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with this year’s Peeps Show! Create a display inspired by our nation’s story, whether it’s an iconic moment in history, a founding figure, a historic landmark, or a scene that captures the spirit of America through the years. We can’t wait to see your star-spangled Peeps creations!
The FXBG Visitor Center is hosting the 4th Annual FXBG Peeps Diorama Show and Competition!
Show Dates:

Show Location:
FXBG Visitor Center Exhibit Room – 601 Caroline Street
Theme:
“Happy Birthday, America!” – Show us your Peeps celebrating all things USA for America’s 250th.
Entry Categories:
Children (12 and under) – ALL participants must be under the age of 12 and did not receive adult support with the diorama outside of safety support (hot glue and scissors).
Teen (13-17) – ALL participants must between the ages of 13 and 17.
Adult (18 and over) – ALL participants must be over the age of 18.
Family – Participants must be a family of children/teens and adults.
Group/Business Organization – Participants represent a group, business or non-profit organization.
Diorama Dimensions/Size Limit:
The diorama should be constructed on a base that measures no more than 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 36 inches high. Hint: shoe or boot boxes make great bases.
Materials and Construction:
Required: Peeps marshmallow candies and diorama must have a sturdy base or platform
Construct your diorama using materials and tools of your choice. Materials that can be used (but not limited to): glue, tape, scissors, props, decorations, printed backdrops.
Ensure that your piece is stable and can withstand transportation to the Visitor Center without getting damaged. Please do not use perishable materials or anything that may cause a mess/odor or pose a hazard.
Peep Marshmallow Candies:
Peeps marshmallow candies should be the main characters or elements of your diorama. You may use other materials to enhance your creation, but Peeps must be the focal point. Feel free to use Peeps of different colors and sizes to add depth and variety to your diorama. We will provide up to 8 FREE peeps for each diorama entry. Free Peeps can be picked up at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. Once you enter, we will contact you about picking up your free Peeps. Any additional Peeps you may need can be purchased online at: peepsbrand.com

One entry per person/group.

Drop off info:
Please put your name on the back or the bottom of the diorama.
Please deliver your diorama entry to the FXBG Visitor Center (601 Caroline St.) at these times:
Wednesday, June 24th – Wednesday, July 1st from 9am to 4pm.
We are not able to accept entries before June 24th. Dioramas not dropped off by Wednesday, July 1st will not be eligible for judging.
Pick up info:
Please pick up your diorama between Monday, August 10th and Friday, August 14th . Any dioramas not picked up by close of business on Friday, August 14th will be disposed of.
Restrictions/Disclaimers:
Diorama scenes must be family-friendly and appropriate for public view. Obscene, provocative, or questionable content will be disqualified. The FXBG Visitor Center retails sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
By entering the FXBG Peep Diorama Show, you agree to let the FXBG Visitor Center take photos or videos of your diorama for social media, web and future marketing purposes.
FXBG Visitor Center is not responsible for damage to dioramas while they are on display. The department will not pay for repair or replacement costs for any artwork lost, stolen or damaged while at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center.
