Fredericksburg Children’s Tree Lighting

Santa Claus phdFor many families, one of the most important holiday traditions is the lighting, and decoration, of the Christmas Tree. This Saturday, November 18th, you do not have to fret over the inevitable argument of who gets to place the star atop the tree. Instead, head over to Hurkamp Park to participate in the annual Fredericksburg Children’s Tree Lighting

From 4:00-5:30 pm, enjoy this free, local family tradition of not only the lighting of the beautiful tree, but a lively Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long. Bell ringing and jingle singing are highly encouraged. Oh, and Santa Claus will be there as well (we know that is who you really want to see)!

Vendors will be open for guests to learn more about local organizations, including non-profits and restaurants. If you would like to sign up as a vendor, please email [email protected]

The Children’s Tree Lighting is a proud tradition in Fredericksburg, and is a lovely way to begin the Holiday Season. We cannot wait for you to attend; prepare for an all-out rendition of O Holy Night.

Hurkamp Park is located on Prince Edward Street. Learn more about the Christmas Tree Lighting on Facebook.
