Here are some exciting things to do, and places to go to celebrate:

  1. Colonial Tavern, Home to the Irish Brigade – Who else would we start with?? This classic Irish pub is the perfect spot to embrace your Irish heritage, or the perfect spot to pretend to embrace your Irish heritage. Enjoy live music from #UNCHAINEDROCKS.
  2. Brock’s Riverside Grill – One of the most popular bars in Fredericksburg is the perfect spot to sip on some beer for St. Patty’s.
  3. J. Brian’s Tap Room – This local favorite has a wonderful beer selection and, should it be warm enough, a great patio for St. Patty’s happenings.
  4. Strangeways – Stop by this unique brewery and try their Lucky Charms drink. Nothing says St. Patrick’s day more than this delicious green brew topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows!
  5. Billiken’s Smokehouse – Enjoy three days of fun at Billikens during their St. Patrick’s Day weekend bash from March 14-16th!
  6. Fred Vegas St. Paddy’s Day Bar Crawl at Spirits – Join Spirits on Saturday, March 15th from noon to 6pm  for a day filled with fun and celebration.
  7. Grand Slamrock Run – On Saturday, March 15th, head over to the Fredericksburg Nationals ballpark to run a 5k, half-marathon, or marathon, brought to you by the Road Runners Club of America. There is no better way to burn off those beer calories than a marathon…for some of you.
  8. UMW Eagle Pipe Band – If you happen to be at Barley Naked Brewing Company on St. Patrick’s Day, no, those bagpipes you hear are not in your head. They’re the UMW Eagle Pipe Band, and they will liven up your St. Patty’s festivities!
  9. Shop at Irish Eyes – Swing by this beloved Irish store to purchase all of your St. Patty’s Swag. And take a photo with the leprechaun outside!
  10. The Fred Flea Vintage Market – On Saturday, March 15th, Riverfront Park will go back in time as it turns into a vintage market for the day. Browse products from local artists, crafters, and vintage clothing stores to find your retro St. Patty’s look!
  11. Leprechaun Leap Scavenger Hunt – Bring the whole family downtown to participate in this St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt! Search for the hidden leprechauns and shamrocks in shop windows on Caroline Street to win prizes.
