This beautiful, Mediterranean-style winery opened in spring 2007. The Potomac Point Winery estate includes a delicious bistro, tasting room, internal courtyard, pavilion and event room. A special cellar acts as both a barrel room, as well as a romantic dining room for elegant meals, tastings and special functions. The vineyard grounds are ideal for special events. Just one mile from the Potomac River, the location was selected because of its rich history, fertile soil and river influences. The vineyard grounds were once part of the Richland property, previously owned by Robert Fitzhugh Lee, Governor of Virginia in 1885. This area was also home to the Patawomeck Indians – the tribe from which Pocahontas descended.
