Before the school year begins, treat yourself to a well-deserved weekend in Downtown Fredericksburg!
From Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, 2026, teachers from the City of Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, and surrounding communities are invited to enjoy exclusive discounts, special offers, giveaways, and teacher-themed food and drink specials at participating downtown businesses.
The celebration kicks off during First Friday on August 7, when you can enjoy Sip & Stroll, live music, shopping, dining, and a festive evening downtown. But the fun doesn’t end there. The Teacher Passport is valid all weekend long, giving you three days to explore downtown, support local businesses, and collect stickers for chances to win Downtown Fredericksburg Gift Cards.
Start your adventure at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center (601 Caroline Street) to pick up your Teacher Passport. Just show your valid school ID at participating locations to take advantage of teacher-exclusive offers.
Gather your fellow educators, make a weekend of it, and let us celebrate everything you do for our community. You’ve earned it!
Not a teacher? You’re still invited to enjoy First Friday, shop, dine, and soak up the downtown atmosphere. And if you happen to buy a teacher a drink or dessert, we won’t stop you!
How Does the Teacher Passport Work?
Visit participating businesses throughout Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9 and collect stickers on your Teacher Passport.
For every 6 stickers you collect, you’ll receive one entry into the drawing for Downtown Fredericksburg Gift Cards. The more stickers you earn, the more chances you’ll have to win!
Completed passports can be returned to the Fredericksburg Visitor Center (601 Caroline Street) through Thursday, August 13, 2026. Winners will be announced the week of August 17, 2026.
Valid school ID required to participate in discounts and offers.
