The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one of Fredericksburg’s largest walks, raising money for local programs and support services here in Fredericksburg, as well as critical research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Organized annually by the Alzheimer’s Association, the event brings together participants of all ages and abilities to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The Fredericksburg Walk features a Promise Garden ceremony, where participants hold colorful flowers representing their personal connections to the disease. The event also includes a 1 or 2-mile walk around and in the stadium, offering a chance to connect with others who share a commitment to ending Alzheimer’s.
The site opens at 9:00 AM — please arrive close to that time so you have plenty of time to chat with our amazing vendors, win some prizes, and grab some freebies! Our ceremony begins at 10:30 AM, and the walk kicks off at 11:00 AM.
It is free to register — all participants must register in advance at act.alz.org/fxbg prior to the event.
