43rd Great Rappahannock Whitewater Canoe Race

The American Canoe Association is excited to host the Great Rappahannock Whitewater Canoe Race on June 7, 2025, in beautiful Fredericksburg, Virginia!

Location: Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401

 Race Options:
5-mile Downriver Race starting at Motts Run Boat Launch at 9 AM
1-mile Sprint Race starting at the riverside launch at 1 PM

Compete in up to 4 races! You can race in two 5-mile downriver races and two 1-mile sprint races – choose from canoe, kayak, tandem canoe/kayak, or SUP categories.

 Free Shuttle Service provided by Virginia Outdoor Center! Shuttles run from Old Mill Park starting at 8 AM to Motts Run Boat Launch, so you’ll be ready for your next race without worry.

Registration Fees:

First Race: $25

Additional Races: $10

Limited Edition T-Shirt: $20

 Race Times:

Downriver Race begins at 9 AM (last launch at 11 AM)

Sprint Race begins at 1 PM (last launch at 2:15 PM)

Awards Ceremony at 3 PM at Old Mill Park
