Community Conversations: Civil Rights Then & Now

Join us for an engaging, nonpartisan, in-person event where we’ll dive into the history and ongoing impact of civil rights. It’s a relaxed space to share stories, ask questions, and connect with others passionate about making a difference. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious, come on by and be part of the conversation!

The conversation will be led by community voices, but guided by our two guests: Dr. Craig Vasey, retired UMW Philosophy Professor and Drew Gallagher, FXBG Advance columnist

Our events are open to all community members. No prior knowledge is required. If you value respectful dialogue, practical civic learning, and engaging your neighbors, this is for you.

The event is free and open to all, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Fredericksburg Area, a strictly nonpartisan 501(c)4 nonprofit educational organization.
