Dressing the 19th Century Woman

Join HFFI for Dressing the 19th Century Woman. Costumed reenactors will demonstrate and discuss the evolution of women’s fashions through four periods: Early Regency (1814), Late Regency (1824), Civil War (1864), and Victorian (1884). Tea and cookies will be served. Guests will also be given a tour of the historic 1816 Masonic Lodge.

This event celebrates the 200th anniversary of General Lafayette’s 1824 tour of America. Presented in conjunction with Emily Taggart Schricker, the Rappahannock Colonial Heritage Society and the Lafayette Bicentennial Commission.
