Fredericksburg Symphony’s “Summon The Heroes” -The Memorial Concert

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the FSO will ‘Summon America’s heroes’ in a special Memorial Concert in May. We are honored to be joined by Marine Corps Base Quantico Commander Colonel Colegate, as we hear great American works including the New World Symphony and A Lincoln Portrait. But we won’t soon forget the moving conclusion to the concert with images on the big screen provided by YOU, our audience… of friends and family lost in military service over John Williams’ score to Saving Private Ryan: Hymn to the Fallen. A historic season comes to a heroic conclusion, as together we “bridge a great community with great music.”

Who said the symphony can’t be fun!

There is no better way to experience a Memorial Concert than with live music from the Fredericksburg Symphony!
