Join Go Local FXBG on Wednesday evenings in August from 6-8PM for trivia, prizes, and community impact at Brock’s Riverside Grill in Downtown Fredericksburg! Expect fun trivia rounds, cool prizes, community connections, and a 50/50 raffle supporting the nonprofit of the week. Come hang out, test your knowledge, and help us support a great local cause!

August 5th: SAWS VA
This week, we’re supporting SAWS VA. This nonprofit is dedicated to restoring freedom, independence, and dignity for individuals with long-term mobility disabilities who cannot afford accessibility modifications.

August 12th: Disability Resource Center
This week, we’re supporting the Disability Resource Center. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live independently, make informed choices, and fully participate in their communities. Their mission is to help individuals with disabilities achieve their highest potential by providing information, education, advocacy, resources, peer support, and independent living skills. Through personalized services, community partnerships, and disability rights advocacy, the dRC works to remove barriers, promote accessibility and inclusion, and ensure that people with disabilities have the tools and opportunities to lead self-directed, fulfilling lives. The organization also supports families, caregivers, and the broader community by fostering awareness, education, and equal access for all.

August 19th: Healing Seed VA
This week, we’re supporting Healing Seed VA. This nonprofit organization is focused on educating, empowering, and uniting the community through responsible cannabis education, advocacy, and outreach. The organization works to create a safe, informed, and inclusive environment where individuals can learn about responsible use, secure storage, and wellness while helping reduce stigma through open dialogue and community engagement.

August 26th: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
This week, we’re supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. The organization funds scientific research, provides educational programs that help people recognize and respond to warning signs, advocates for public policies that support mental health and suicide prevention, and hosts community events that promote connection, healing, and resilience.
