Genealogy Panel

A panel of library research staff will answer your questions on how AI is impacting genealogy and how it may be used in one’s own research, how to read the U.S. Census and the importance of it, how to discover an ancestor’s immigration journey to the United States, what local Virginia sources are available and how to access them, what newspapers share in relation to defining an ancestor’s story, and what steps to take when one encounters a dead end, roadblock, or other obstacles when performing family research.
