Lectures from the Lab

Spotswood, Washington, Byrd – these are just a few of the influential families who shaped 18th-century Virginia. Not only did these prominent neighbors meet for social gatherings, they swore oaths to the same Masonic orders, served side by side during wartime, and bound their families together through marriage. But what did they really think of one another? Join us for this special program with researcher, archaeologist, and Martha Washington interpreter, Constance Shofi. Constance brings her years of research with Historic Germanna and Mount Vernon to examine the intriguing connections between these remarkable families.

Join us at 7:00pm in the Hitt Archaeology Center for this lecture. Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis via Eventbrite.
