The exhibition, titled “Painted Horizons” will be held at Brush Strokes Gallery, running from September 4 to September 28, 2025. Join us for our opening reception on Friday September 5 from 5-9pm. On Saturday September 13, a reception to meet the artist will be held from 5-7pm.
With a signature style that blends vibrant color palettes and expressive brushwork, Baird captures the quiet majesty of farmlands, shorelines, marshes, and skies. This new body of work offers an immersive journey through the changing light, atmosphere, and rhythm of rural Virginia and coastal North Carolina.
As part of the monthly gallery theme, Rivers, several of her paintings in the exhibit portray scenes from along the Rappahannock river. Part of the proceeds from the sale of Lois’ paintings and several other artists’ works will be donated to The Friends of the Rappahannock.
