On June 20 Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events will participate in the state-wide initiative, Play All Day VA, along with other parks and recreation agencies across the state!
It’s the summer solstice and the longest day of the year, come explore new parks or try out a new activity—all for free!
- 6am-8:30pm: StoryWalk®, Heritage Trail, Take a walk and read our new story.
- 6am-8:30pm: Free Fishing & Boat Launches, Motts Run Reservoir, Come enjoy our special extended hours.
- 6-7am: Sunrise Yoga, Riverfront Park, Start your day with some yoga along the river front.
- 9:30-11:30am: Preschool Adventure Play, Snowden Park, Same activities as indoor play, but outdoors!
- 9-11:30am: AARP Day of Exercise, Dorothy Hart Community Center 9am-zumba 10:30am-chair yoga, Registration is required https://states.aarp.org/virginia/
- 9am-12pm: Mini Market, Hurkamp Park, Enjoy a mini version of our Farmer’s Market.
- 11:30am-1:30pm: Rec2U, Doris E. Buffett Pool, Our mobile rec van helps you get out and play!
- 2:30-4:30pm: Rec2U, Forest Village Apartments, Our mobile rec van helps you get out and play!
- 12-8pm: Doris E. Buffett Pool, free admission for all, First come first serve. First 200 admitted.
- 5-7pm: Play All Day Cook Out, Snowden Park, Come hang out with PRE and the Police Department and enjoy free hotdogs and summer activities!
