Remembering Eliza: Honoring the Homecoming of Eliza Monroe Hay

Eliza Monroe Hay, daughter of President James Monroe, was buried in Paris in 1840. Thanks to years of dedicated effort, Eliza has now been brought back to her family’s homeland. This event recognizes the researchers, advocates, and community partners who helped make that historic homecoming possible. Light refreshments provided. Special artifacts on display.
