Santa Run with the Police

The Fredericksburg Police Department’s Santa Run is an annual holiday tradition in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where police officers and members of the Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Office and University of Mary Washington Police Department escort Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their holiday helpers through neighborhoods across the city. The event typically takes place over two evenings in December, giving families an opportunity to see Santa pass through their communities and enjoy some festive holiday cheer. Residents can gather along the route at designated stops to see Santa and take part in the celebration. Follow the Fredericksburg Police Department’s social media pages for detailed route information.
