The Fredericksburg Symphony Season Opener: A Symphonic Flashbang!

For a Thundering Start, kick off the 2026–27 season with an absolute sonic explosion—right from the very first note! The FSO opens the night with Tchaikovsky’s monumental Fourth Symphony—a gripping, triumphant masterpiece that battles fate itself in a whirlwind of passion and power. Then the mood shifts with Copland’s beloved Rodeo, where Buckaroo Holiday and Hoe-Down bring all the swagger and charm of the American frontier to the concert hall. And just when you think it can’t get any bigger, we close with Tchaikovsky’s legendary 1812 Overture. While the fire marshal won’t let us bring actual artillery inside the theater, our powerhouse percussion section is turning up the pressure to unleash a deafening, chest-rattling cannon finale that will shake the rafters.
