The Music Department joins with the James Farmer Multicultural Center to a host a discussion of Marvin Gaye’s 1971 album What’s Going On and its continuing significance today, more than fifty years later. Chris Williams (JFMC) will speak of the context of the album, and Antwaun Gay (Marvin’s youngest half-brother) will offer personal reflections.
