From finding all the scarecrows to the fest on First Friday, and the nostalgic thrill of Halloween movies in the park to the family-friendly Costume Stroll followed with Treats on Streets, we invite you to to join us for a spellbinding celebration!

Scarecrow Contest

๐Ÿ“… Tuesday, October 1 – Thursday, October 31
๐Ÿ“Œ Scarecrows can be found at participating businesses throughout the downtown corridor.
Scarecrows have taken over downtown! Grab a map and find all the scarecrows. Vote for your favorites through October 31. Ballots are available at participating businesses or download from the button below.

Festive fun for the whole family during First Friday. There will be games, activities and contests!
Admission is FREE.

Canal Quarter Walking Cat Tour
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, October 12 | 1pm
๐Ÿ“ŒHaley’s Honey Meadery FXBG | Canal Quarter
Residents of the Canal Quarter will present their cats as you stroll the neighborhood.

Halloween Movies in the Park
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, October 19 | 5:30pm
๐Ÿ“ŒRiverfront Park
Grab a blanket and takeout from one of the downtown local restaurants to watch movies in the park.
Admission is FREE.

Family Costume Stroll
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, October 26 | 8:30am
๐Ÿ“Œ Meet at the VRE Park and Ride Lot B by the train station.
Stroll in your Halloween costume down Caroline Street. Stroll starts promptly at 9:30am.
Participation is FREE.

Haunted FXBGO! Bus
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, October 26 | 10am – 12pm
๐Ÿ“ŒKid-friendly haunted bus at Market Square

Treats on the Streets
๐Ÿ“… Saturday, October 26 | 10am – 12pm
๐Ÿ“ŒDowntown Fredericksburg
Trick or Treat at participating downtown businesses. Additional fun at the Farmers Market.
Participation is FREE.
