Experience One of America’s Oldest Traditions at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair
Summer in Fredericksburg means one thing…it’s time for the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair! Returning Friday, July 24 through Sunday, August 2, 2026, this community tradition has been entertaining generations of families since 1738, making it one of the oldest agricultural fairs in the United States.
For ten days, the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds transforms into a celebration of agriculture, family fun, delicious food, and hometown traditions. Thrill-seekers can enjoy exciting carnival rides from Deggeller Attractions, while younger visitors will love classic attractions like the carousel, petting zoo, camel rides, and family-friendly games. Livestock exhibits and agricultural displays offer a chance to experience the fair’s rich farming heritage alongside all the excitement of the midway.
No visit to the fair is complete without indulging in classic fair food. Grab a funnel cake, fresh-squeezed lemonade, barbecue, roasted corn, or another favorite from the many food vendors serving up sweet and savory treats throughout the grounds.
Schedule Highlights
Every day brings something new to the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair. Here are just a few of this year’s highlights:
- Friday, July 24 – Kick off the fair with Opening Night, the Demolition Derby, and the Teen Miss & Miss Fredericksburg Fair Pageants.
- Saturday, July 25 – Watch the mud fly during the Mountain View Mud Bog, then enjoy live music from Patsy’s Country Classics.
- Sunday, July 26 – Spend the day enjoying Sunday Gospel at the Fair, featuring the Bullrun Cloggers and an afternoon of gospel performances.
- Monday, July 27 – College Night offers complimentary admission for visitors with a valid college ID, plus an evening performance by School of Rock.
- Tuesday, July 28 – Show off your singing skills during Family Karaoke Night, and educators receive complimentary admission with a valid school ID.
- Wednesday, July 29 – Military, Law Enforcement & First Responders Appreciation Night honors those who serve, followed by another exciting Demolition Derby and Thunder 104.5 Line Dancing.
- Thursday, July 30 – It’s Lucky 7’s Night, with $7 general admission all evening, plus another Family Karaoke Night.
- Friday, July 31 – The Demolition Derby returns along with live music from Steve Jarrell.
- Saturday, August 1 – Don’t miss the Blue Ridge Boyz Tractor Pull, the My Fair Lady Pin-Up Pageant, and an evening performance by the Cactus Jack Band.
- Sunday, August 2 – Wrap up the fair with Memories of Elvis, celebrating the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll during the final afternoon.
