Fredericksburg’s art scene is vibrant and flourishing, and the Fredericksburg Fine Art Show & Sale exemplifies the creativity of this city. From Friday, March 20th through Sunday, March 22nd, head over to the Dorothy Hart Community Center to enjoy some of the finest local art that Fredericksburg has to offer.
This juried art show features more than 270 original pieces by 112 artists across more than 8 disciplines. During the show, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a special raffle featuring two Johnny Johnson paintings. Raffle tickets are $5 each. The artists’ work will be available for purchase and exhibition. Admission to the show is free, and proceeds of purchases will benefit the charitable programs of the Women’s Club of Fredericksburg and Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Events programs.
The artwork shown is of high quality, and handmade by the artists, many of whom are locals. There is something for everyone and in all price ranges. Even if you aren’t looking to purchase art, this is an incredible opportunity to view art created by artists from Virginia.
Along with the Fine Art Show, attendees can also stop by and see works of art from the children of Fredericksburg at the annual Kids’ Art Show. Artwork from young artists ages 4 to 18 will be on display for viewing only. Works include sculptures, drawings, paintings, and more. You can view the Kids’ Art Show on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
The Fredericksburg Fine Arts Show & Sale is a wonderful way to support local charities, and a wonderful way to support the work of local creatives. The Dorothy Hart Community Center is located at 408 Canal Street. You can learn more at FXBG Parks and Recreation.
