We did it, Fredericksburg! 
Thanks to the incredible support of our community and beer lovers nationwide, Fredericksburg has placed #6 in USA Today’s 10 Best Small Town Beer Scenes 2025! This recognition celebrates our growing craft beer culture and the amazing local breweries that make Fredericksburg a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts.
Fredericksburg is home to some of Virginia’s finest breweries, including Red Dragon Brewery, Strangeways Brewing Fredericksburg, and the newly opened Port Oysteria and Brewery. These breweries not only offer delicious craft beer, but they also embody the spirit of Fredericksburg with their unique flavors, warm atmospheres, and welcoming vibes.
In addition to our amazing breweries, Fredericksburg hosts some fantastic beer festivals throughout the year! The Fredericksburg Fairgrounds is home to the annual Frosty Brew Thru every January, the Tacos and Beer Festival in May, and the Cigar, Bourbon, and Beer Festival in August—each featuring numerous local breweries and food vendors showcasing their latest creations. And don’t miss the annual Fredtoberfest held during the first week of October, where the beer flows, the music plays, and the entire community celebrates all things craft beer.
