Calling all young reporters from the City of Fredericksburg!

How to Enter:

The City of Fredericksburg’s Junior Reporter Contest offers an exciting opportunity for children between the ages of 10-17 who live in the City of Fredericksburg (22401 zip code) to showcase their reporting skills and become the Junior Reporter at Fox 5 DC’s Zip Trip in Fredericksburg.

Step to Enter:

• Get permission from your parent/guardian.
• Review the Rules with your parent/guardian.
• Record your video: Create a 2-minute video introducing yourself and why you would make a great Junior Reporter.
• Fill out the Google Form with your parent/guardian.
• Click Submit on the form and Good Luck!

Eligibility Requirements:

To enter the contest, participants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be between the ages of 10 – 17.
• Must be a resident of the 22401 zip code (City of Fredericksburg).
• Must submit a video up to 2 minutes in length.
• Must be able to attend the Fredericksburg Zip Trip Event on Friday, July 25 beginning at 6:00am in Riverfront Park.

Official Rules and Regulations:

• Video Requirements: Videos must be family-friendly and no longer than 2 minutes.
• File upload: You must upload your video via the Google Form submission.
• Consent: A parent/guardian must provide consent for your participation.
• Use of media: By submitting your video, you are agree that the City of Fredericksburg and Fox 5 DC may use your image, video and name in promotional materials.
• Only one submission per participant.

The City of Fredericksburg, not Fox 5 DC, is hosting this contest.

What you win:

A chance to become the Junior Reporter for the Fox 5 Zip Trip event in Fredericksburg! You’ll get to participate with a live reporting segment and be part of an exciting community event.
