Fredericksburg Lafayette Bicentennial Events

As a part of the Commemoration, a series of lectures about Lafayette, his world, and his important military and diplomatic roles during the Revolution are offered. The lecturers are presented by noted authorities on their topics, many with publications in their areas of expertise. They are joined by Fredericksburg area scholars from our historical and cultural organizations, who also possess deep knowledge about Lafayette, and in particular, Lafayette’s connections to our City. All lectures are free and open to everyone.
