Throughout the month of February, many businesses in downtown Fredericksburg have teamed up with the Washington-Lewis chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to honor their favorite veterans. This movement, “Our Hearts Sparkle for These Veterans” in Fredericksburg has close to 50 participating businesses including Downtown Salon, Lady Legacy, and Curitiba Art Cafe.
These businesses have decorated their windows in honor of the veterans that they celebrate. For instance, Jewel Box is honoring Thomas Battle Sale, Jr, Medic US Army, and Paymon Fine Rugs is honoring Curtis Nolen, US Army Signal Corps.
“Our Hearts Sparkle for These Veterans” is a great way for local businesses to support the troops, and supporting these businesses is a great way to celebrate those in uniform.
