The beloved tradition returns for its 22nd year with four performances of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Presented by the Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble and directed by Adrienne Daly, this comedy promises an evening of laughter on the lawn.

To Kill a Mockingbird at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at Stage Door Productions

Get ready for big laughs and catchy tunes as Stage Door Productions brings the classic Broadway hit How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying to the stage this summer. This sharp-witted musical satire follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, a charming window washer who climbs the corporate ladder at the World Wide Wicket Company with nothing but a self-help book and sheer confidence.

Next to Normal at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts

Experience the powerful and emotional story of Next to Normal, a Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical that delves into a suburban family’s struggle with mental illness. Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Fredericksburg presents two family-friendly productions this summer:

Join the community for live music, good food, and fun every Tuesday in May and June at Memorial Park. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase from park vendors.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series

Enjoy free live music every Friday evening from June 6 to August 29 in Market Square, hosted by the Fredericksburg Area Museum. Each week features talented local and regional bands across various genres.

  • Location: Market Square, Downtown Fredericksburg

  • Admission: Free

  • Tip: Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere.

Celebrate the 40th year of this beloved free concert series held every Monday evening from June through August on the front steps of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s Fredericksburg Branch. Enjoy a diverse lineup of musical performances that reflect Fredericksburg’s dynamic music scene.

  • Location: 1201 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA

  • Admission: Free

  • Note: Bring your own chairs or blankets. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the library’s theater.

Summer Solstice Festival

Kick off summer at the Summer Solstice Festival in Riverfront Park. This event features local and regional craft breweries, wineries, cideries, live music, food trucks, and fun activities.
