Shakespeare on the Lawn: Macbeth at Kenmore
The 23rd annual Shakespeare on the Lawn event returns to Historic Kenmore this June with a reimagined performance of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Presented by Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble and directed by Heather McIntosh, this tragedy is full of ambition, power, and walking the line of fate and free will.

Stand Up Comedy at Stagedoor Productions
Come out to the Allstate Community Theater in downtown Fredericksburg, where Stage Door Productions presents Stand-Up Comedy Night a production of Callback Comedy Productions. Callback Comedy works with comics who have performed on ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO, Channel 4 UK, Drybar Comedy, and more; as well as at regional and national Comedy Clubs, including: DC Improv, Stand Up NYC, Helium Philadelphia, DC Drafthouse, Comedy Loft, Comedy Zone, Arlington Drafthouse, and the Capital One Vault, it’s sure to be a night of laughs!

Godspell – the Musical at Stagedoor Productions
Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden); and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit, “Day by Day,” Godspell features a parade of beloved songs, including “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” “All for the Best,” “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back, O Man” and “By My Side.”
A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.

Nation’s 250th Celebration in Music and Variety Show at Stagedoor Productions
The 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of American independence in 2026 features major musical celebrations, highlighting patriotism and history, culminating around July 4th 2026. A variety of performances and music, will tell the story of the United States, from its birth to a modern day celebration in freedom.

The Mousetrap at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts
Brimming with intrigue, sophisticated humor and surprising twists, Agatha Christie’s iconic murder mystery is the world’s most successful and longest-running play. The Mousetrap is about a group of strangers trapped during a snowstorm when a local woman is murdered. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. A police detective, arriving on skis, interrogates the suspects: the newlyweds running the house; a spinster with a curious background; an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef; a retired Army major; a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift; and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. When a second murder takes place, tensions and fears escalate.
This record-breaking murder mystery features a brilliant surprise finish from Dame Agatha Christie, the foremost mystery writer of her time. It will be a perfect escape from the hot summer weather and fun outings for families, groups and friends.

Into the Woods at CYT Fredericksburg
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Pride and Prejudice at Stagedoor Productions
