This past weekend, Fredericksburg Economic Development and Tourism had the pleasure of hosting four travel writers—two from Florida, one from Pennsylvania, and one from Virginia—through our partnership with the Laurie Rowe Company. This initiative, generously funded by the Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority, helps us share the stories of our city with a wider audience.
Over four days, we showcased the very best of Fredericksburg—historic landmarks, local flavors, and unique experiences that highlight the heart of our community.
Highlights included:

A welcoming trolley tour and ghost walk through our historic downtown.

Culinary stops at local favorites like Orofino, Mason Dixon, Foode, Tapa Rio, Alpine Chef, and more.

Hands-on history at the Mary Washington House, Ferry Farm, Fredericksburg Area Museum, James Monroe Museum, Historic Kenmore, and Hugh Mercer Apothecary.

Cultural experiences such as the Civil Rights Trail, a local history talk with Maggie’s Subs, and creativity at PONSHOP Studio.

Fun and modern attractions like Reclaim Arcade, Possumbilities and Ironclad Distillery.
