Megan Stewart is one of the busiest people in Fredericksburg, with a number of exciting projects and businesses under her belt; most recently, she opened REIGN The Venue, an event space in the Canal Quarter District on Princess Anne Street. Additionally, Stewart works full-time as an Executive Assistant for Capital One and leads a non-profit organization dedicated to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), runs a hair care line, and runs a photo booth company.
Stewart was clear on how she is able to simultaneously balance all of these endeavors: drive and passion. All of her projects and businesses stem from areas and issues she deeply cares about. Having PCOS herself, seeing how hair care has been needed in her family, and to take care of her family through the events at REIGN, all of her passions are exemplified through her work.
Stewart opened REIGN to host a wide variety of events, including concerts, birthday parties, and bridal showers. She is excited to host these events, and wants REIGN to be a community space for people to meet each other.
One of the women who Stewart draws inspiration from is her mother, who she said has fully supported her throughout her life and career. When she was diagnosed with PCOS at age 9, her mother was the one who cared for her and gave her hope.
“She’s been my powerhouse,” Stewart said.
Stewart has devoted her passions to helping others. While there are times when she considers pumping the brakes on her non-profit, she is reminded by others how she is making an impact. As she continues on with REIGN The Venue, she cannot wait to help the people of Fredericksburg as well.
