This Friday, April 5th, our beloved Fredericksburg Nationals will face off against the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05pm. And like every Friday at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, stick around after the FredNats win (as usual) to enjoy amazing fireworks. But Firework Friday is not the only special night each week this season. Every day of the week except Mondays (there are no Monday games), there is a Game Highlight that is a wonder to enjoy, often with a special cause to support thrown in.
On Salute to Service Sundays, the FredNats honor military members and first responders during the game. The FredNats players will honor these brave heroes by wearing special military jerseys. On the last Sunday home game of the season, the jerseys will be auctioned off. Salute to Service Sundays are a wonderful way to support the heroes of our country.
On $2 Tuesday, some tickets will be available for only $2. You can also purchase loaded tots for $2 as well.
Wednesdays are a multi-special night. Goodwill Wednesdays allow fans to donate new or lightly used items to RGI locations, in exchange for a free ticket to a game. In addition, there are other specials that the Fred Nats offer on Wednesdays. On some nights, such as April 17th, Wednesday is also Education Day, which honors local teachers and students. Other nights, such as June 5th, bring your dogs to Bark in the Park.
Thursdays are for, what else, responsible drinking! Swing by a FredNats game on Thirsty Thursdays for $2 beer specials. 6 Bears & A Goat is a wonderful local brewery and a proud sponsor of the FredNats, so Thirsty Thursday is a great opportunity to support a beloved local business.
Friday, as mentioned, is Firework Friday. It is worth mentioning twice though, because BOOM!
Saturday is Theme Night at the ballpark. The theme varies from week to week. April 20th is Star Wars Night, May 25th is Golden Ticket Night, and June 8th is Friends Night. There are so many fun theme nights throughout the season’s Saturdays, so come on out!.
