Holidays in Fredericksburg 2023

Love Sign SnowThe winter holidays are upon us, and there is no better Virginia city to celebrate in than Fredericksburg. The festivities are endless this year, and we cannot wait for you to participate. Here are some exciting events to experience for Holidays in Fredericksburg:

Window Wonderland – Many businesses downtown will decorate their windows in honor of the Holiday season, and we invite you to participate in their collective event from November 11-December 30. For Window Wonderland, swing by each decorated window display, and answer each window’s riddle for the chance to win prizes. Participating businesses will be announced shortly.

Children’s Tree Lighting & Jingle Bell Sing-a-Long – On November 18, Hurkamp Park will play host to the Annual Tree Lighting. Live music will play for you to sing-a-long too, and Santa will be prepared to document your list of presents.

31st Annual YMCA Turkey Trot – Sign up online for this Thanksgiving Day tradition. Kids can run the mile starting at 7:00am, and others can run the 5K starting at 7:15am. This is a great way to burn some calories before the gorge.

Small Business Saturday – We in Fredericksburg take pride in our wonderful small businesses, and the Holiday Season is the perfect time of year to support them. After Thanksgiving on November 25th, come on downtown for Small Business Saturday, and benefit these wonderful stores, restaurants, and many others!

Christmas Parade – One of the most exciting events for the Holidays in Fredericksburg is the annual Christmas Parade on December 2nd. The streets fill up with attendees, so prepare to find a spot early to watch the parade.
