Back-to-School Weekend is filled with exclusive teacher discounts, restaurant specials, giveaways, and a fun Teacher Passport program that lets you explore everything downtown has to offer.

Kick Off the Weekend at First Friday
The celebration begins during First Friday on August 7. Pick up your Teacher Passport at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, located at 601 Caroline Street, along with a list of participating businesses.
Then spend the evening strolling downtown, discovering local shops, enjoying dinner or drinks with coworkers, and taking advantage of special offers available with a valid school ID. Many participating businesses will also have exclusive promotions and giveaways just for educators.
Make It a Weekend
The fun doesn’t stop Friday night.
Teacher discounts and passport opportunities continue through Sunday, giving educators plenty of time to explore Downtown Fredericksburg at their own pace. Grab brunch, browse your favorite boutiques, discover a new local shop, or enjoy a relaxing afternoon before the school year begins.
It’s the perfect excuse to reconnect with fellow teachers, treat yourself, and support the small businesses that help make Fredericksburg such a vibrant community.
Collect Stickers. Win Downtown Gift Cards.
Don’t forget your Teacher Passport!
Visit participating businesses throughout the weekend and collect stickers along the way. Every six stickers earns an entry into a drawing for Downtown Fredericksburg gift cards, so the more you explore, the more chances you’ll have to win.
Completed passports can be returned to the Visitor Center through Thursday, August 13, with winners announced the week of August 17.

While the exclusive discounts are reserved for educators with a valid school ID, everyone is invited to enjoy First Friday, shop local, dine downtown, and soak up the lively atmosphere all weekend long.
